Cathy Wardle

Cathy is the Library Assistant at the MMLL Library and is temporarily covering the Senior Library Assistant role, managing the library鈥檚 Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Latin American and Italian collections. She also takes care of the library鈥檚 finances and social media accounts. Cathy is developing the library鈥檚 student-led collection covering wellbeing, study skills and world fiction amongst other topics, as well as shaping the new Student Room where the collection can be found. Cathy was an undergraduate and postgraduate in the MMLL Faculty, completing her BA in French, Spanish and Catalan in 2021 and the ELAC MPhil by Thesis in 2022, where she wrote on itinerant aristocratic communities in seventeenth-century French women鈥檚 fiction and correspondence. She has previously worked as a translator and also had a brief stint helping out in the English Faculty Library before joining the MMLL Library team in January 2023.
She tried out pole vault and ice skating as a student, and can talk at length听both about niche sports and the 澳门六合彩开奖记录 caf茅 scene!
