Francisco Garc铆a

Francisco is responsible for the Library鈥檚 Slavonic and Linguistics collections and is always happy to respond to suggestions for purchases, research enquiries or questions about accessing resources or databases in these areas.

He was an undergraduate and a postgraduate at Granada University (Spain) completing his BA and a MA in Slavonic Studies. During that time, he spent some semesters as a visiting student at Moscow鈥檚 State Linguistic University where he later also worked for a year teaching Spanish to undergraduates. More recently, he completed a MSc Information and Library Studies course at Robert Gordon University.

Prior to his current role at the MMLL Library, he has been working for several years in a local secondary school as a Library Assistant and as a Librarian. Previously, he has also worked as a translator, teaching Spanish in primary and secondary schools and as an Adult Education Tutor. He still teaches Spanish in AE courses at Hills Road SFC in 澳门六合彩开奖记录.

Outside of work, Francisco enjoys going to the cinema, watching tennis live or on TV, travelling, specially to Eastern Europe, and going back to Spain during the holidays. He is a keen bibliophile with particular interest in books about Slavic languages and culture.
