On 1 July 2024, we were delighted to welcome secondary teachers of German to Selwyn College for 'Diversity in German Studies', an in-person workshop. This was the final event in a year-long series of online seminars. Diversity features in A-level German teaching both as a highlighted aspect of contemporary society and as a theme in prescribed literary works and films. It also represents a core principle in curriculum development in German at University levels, and in broader institutional priorities.
