Event Description:听鈥楿krainer. The Movie鈥� documents the volunteer project 鈥楿krainer鈥� (听) and is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Fund (听). It is a media project dedicated to helping Ukrainians learn about each other and the rest of the world learn about Ukraine. An anthropological-ethnographic expedition that lasted from June 2016 to October 2018 and covered 16 historic regions of Ukraine听from Slobozhanshchyna to Podillia, and from Volyn to Tavria forms the core of the project. The 80-minute film features a single day in the life of six Ukrainians living in different parts of the country. The film is set to soundtracks by the Ukrainian ethno-chaos band 鈥楧akha Brakha鈥�.
After the screening there will be a Q&A session with the creator of the project and producer of the film 鈥� Bogdan Logvynenko, who will speak on the film, expedition and future plans of the 鈥楿krainer鈥� project. A wine reception will follow the Q&A session.
