New Linguistics Journal, Glossa Contact

Glossa ContactÌýis the proud new member of the Glossa family of linguistics journals.Ìý

Ìý

It is a new international open-access peer-reviewed journal devoted to the triggers, effects and processes ofÌýlanguage contact, symbiosis and change in multilingual settings. It invites original contributions of both empirical and theoretical nature, from any theoretical perspective, concerning any synchronic, diachronic, oral, written or signed dimensions of language contact.ÌýArticles may approach contact and contact-induced change from any disciplinary perspective, includinghistorical, typological, acquisition, anthropological, sociolinguistic, syntactical, phonological, semantic, pragmatic, philological, phylogenetic, computational.ÌýTheoretical perspectives include, but are not limited to functional, formal (generative or otherwise) and anthropological perspectives.Ìý

Ìý

The journal is open to, and particularly welcomes, contributions that attempt to cross the disciplinary divides and present their findings in a form accessible to the wide and diverse community of language-contact scholars. Most importantly, Editors will actively push the authors to cross the disciplinary boundaries by providing editorial comments and seeking reviews which engage this ‘other’, hidden potential of the papers submitted.Ìý
