Event Description:听鈥楿krainer. The Movie鈥� documents the volunteer project 鈥楿krainer鈥櫶�(听) and is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Fund (听). It is a media project dedicated to helping Ukrainians learn about each other and the rest of the world learn about Ukraine. An anthropological-ethnographic expedition that lasted from June 2016 to October 2018 and covered 16 historic regions of Ukraine听from听Slobozhanshchyna听to听Podillia, and from听Volyn听to听Tavria听forms the core of the project. The 80-minute film features a single day in the life of six Ukrainians living in different parts of the country. The film is set to soundtracks by the Ukrainian ethno-chaos band 鈥楧akha Brakha鈥�.
After the screening there will be a Q&A session with the creator of the project and producer of the film 鈥� Bogdan Logvynenko, who will speak on the film, expedition and future plans of the 鈥楿krainer鈥� project. A wine reception will follow the Q&A session.
