Kasia's research interests include the representation of discourse, semantic ambiguities, semantics/pragmatics interface, saying/implicating distinction, semantic representation of time and propositional attitude constructions, including attitudes听de se. She is the author of a theory of discourse interpretation called Default Semantics.

Research Associate
Dr. Minyao Huang
Minyao's research interests lie in semantics, pragmatics, philosophy of language and cognitive science. She has worked on indexicality, the semantics/pragmatics interface, and vagueness, especially the manifestation of tolerance and indeterminacy in categorisation experiments. Currently she is working on self-reference from a cognitive and cross-linguistic perspective.

Rodanthi's research interests focus on the semantics/pragmatics interface, philosophy of language, cognitive linguistics, the relation between potential cognitive universals and sociocultural factors, and the effect of social context and honorifics on self-expression and self-reference particularly in Japanese as well as cross-linguistically.听听
